Designing a garden requires the knowledge of plants that will work on your space as well as the conditions that the plants can tolerate.
Living in the Grasslands of Sonoita in hardiness Zone 8A or 8B has challenges even to the most experienced gardener. The soil can have caliche not allowing roots to develop properly, the seasons are different, the high altitude can have an impact in some plants, the dryness and wind during the spring season can take a toll in some less resilient plants. The monsoon can overwater the trees, bushes, and plants to the point of creating havoc in any garden and property. The winters are unpredictable freezing plants that can not tolerate the cold can be a disaster waiting to happen.
ABOUT ALEGRIA
Alegria is a well know New York Brand Digital Designer that fell in love with the Grasslands of Arizona and has a Landscape Design Certification from the New York Institute of Art & Design.
Alegria interest in gardens started after completing a Beginner Farmer Certification for Specialty Crops from the Arizona School of Agriculture Cooperative extension.
She has designed Aqua Ciele e Terre as a sustainable farm in Sonoita with Lavender gardens, a Wine grapes vineyard, Orchard and Heirloom and English Rose Garden. Creating a heaven for wild life while maintaining the integrity of the grasslands.
Alegria has a vast knowledge of indoors and outdoor plants and a sense of design and know how to complement your green spaces.
